Hug-a-Bus 2

Hug-a-Bus II joined Saint John Transit’s fleet in October 2005. The new bus, covered with an underwater scene was substantially funded by New Brunswick’s Environmental Trust Fund. Like Hug-a-Bus I, this bus is capable of using clean-burning diesel fuel. Among the first passengers on the new bus were Premier Bernard Lord, Acting Minister of the Environment Dale Graham, Deputy Mayor Michelle Hooton and Transit Commission Chairman Chris Titus . The inaugural run included a ride to Saint John’s Dominion Park Beach area on the City’s West side.
